DA-IICT has been selected as an NVIDIA GPU research Center. Receive a Tesla K40 GPU worth around Rs. 3 Lakhs as a part of the award.
Speech Lab at DA-IICT is being linked to ISCA Speech Labs (across the world) website being first Speech Lab from India which is being linked to ISCA Speech Labs.
To promote the academic and research interaction as well as collaboration, DA-IICT and IIT-Gandhinagar, signed an MoU on 2 July 2012.  DA-IICT welcomes students from other institutions to carry out internships or project work under the guidance of our faculty.  Most of the trainees arrive during the summer semester when it is usually possible to provide hostel facilities as well as use of the Laboratories and Resource Centre.
The ABP News National B-School Award was conferred on DA-IICT for the second time in 2013, in recognition of leadership, development and industry interface.  The ABP News, formerly known as Star News Channel, is a Leading News channel of India.
DA-IICT was among the top 20% engineering colleges winning National Employability Award 2013 instituted by Aspiring Minds.
Tata Consultancy Services Limited selected DA-IICT for the ‘TCS-100 Best’ high-ranking engineering institute student award scheme.  The ‘TCS-100 Best’ is to enhance students’ attention towards academics through healthy competition.
DA-IICT is also recognized by TCS to administer the TCS Research Scholar Program.  Under the program, selected scholars admitted to pursue Doctoral Studies at DA-IICT are awarded Fellowships.  During the reporting year, Ms. Gitam C. Shikkenawis, PhD Scholar admitted in 2012, was selected for the award of TCS Doctoral Fellowship
Following two students of DA-IICT were selected for ‘TCS-100 Best’ Award in 2013 :

1. Poojan Shah, BTech  (2008-12 batch)
2. Raghuvir Songhela, BTech  (2009-13 batch)
Dr K Keshavswamy, Head, Academic Interface Program, TCS, handed over cash prizes, gold medals and certificates to them  at DA-IICT on 1 March 2013.

In January 2011, a cooperative endeavor called the Network of Engineering Institutions (NEI) was
initiated by Prof. D. Nagchoudhuri of DA-IICT. NEI’s objective is to enhance the quality of PhD
research among the participating Institutions with the help of experts from various IITs. Interactive
Forum for exchange of views and ideas has been formed and workshops are conducted and
evaluated by experts. Currently the focus is on VLSI related research and NEI is getting help of
experts from IIT, Bombay and Delhi. At present, DA-IICT, Mody Institute of Technology & Science,
LNM Institute of Information Technology and Yeshwantrao Chavan College of Engineering are the
member institutions of NEI and shortly it will be extended to other institutions with other focus
areas. This initiative would also enable the sharing of research resources and provide mentorship to
students and their local PhD guides.
During the autumn semester 2011-12, DA-IICT and IIT, Gandhinagar, initiated a process to jointly
offer courses on electronics and communication, mathematics, sciences and humanities.
